The “World AIDS Day” program at RCCIIT took place over two days, with Day 1 on December 1st,
2022, in the old building, and Day 2 on December 5th, 2022, in the new building. Organized by Dr.
Tathagata Deb (NSS PO) and Dr. Sangita Agarwal (NSS SC Faculty Coordinator), Day 1 featured
informative lectures addressing the causes of AIDS, handling infected patients, and combating
discrimination. The event concluded with the display of handmade posters by first-year ECE students.
Day 2, hosted by Dr. Tathagata Deb, included speeches by guest speakers emphasizing key points
about AIDS awareness. The program ended with the felicitation of guest speakers by Principal Prof.
(Dr.) Anirban Mukherjee. The initiative aimed to raise awareness, dispel misconceptions, and
encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Attendance included 30 students and 3 faculty
members on Day 1, and 10 students and 25 faculty members on Day 2
