Sensitization Program 1.0

Overall Layout of the Event:

Dr. Tathagata Deb, P.O., NSS Unit, RCCIIT welcomed all the members and also th e1st year students and started the program. He conveyed the message of patriotism and make the students of B.Tech and mCA 1st year understand what is NSS and what is the moto of NSS. He also mentioned that annually there will be a felicitation ceremony which will be crosschecked and verified by the NSS committee members and RCCIIT admin.
Then the next speaker was Mr. Arpan Deyasi, NAAC Convenor, RCCIIT Mr. Arpan Deyasi mentioned the
importance of qualitative attributes required in association with technical skills for all-round development of students, which is the defined Programme Outcome of NBA. Among various activities, he requests freshers to be in part of ethical and environmental related events, and also the listed programs of AICTE such as Jal Divas, Swachhata Divas etc.
Prevention of Ozone layer is a burning issue in these days, and students should make awareness campaign on that topic. Also, they are requested to extend hands to under privileged children of communities and of orphanages through free literacy program, and also of little bit support for education. He ended with being involved NSS student chapter so that they can enrich themselves and Institute will also be benefited.
Then the next speaker was Dr. Sangita Agarwal, NSS-Student Chapter -Faculty Coordinator, RCCIIT she
addressed the need for the need of the NSS Student Chapter in each and every college possible. She also talked about the concerned events and further added that the NSS STUDENT CHAPTER has been formed after the approval of the management but initiative was taken by Sourav Chakraborty, Student Coordinator, NSS Student Chapter. The chapter has a Core unit along with a Volunteer unit, Sustainability Development unit and Eco unit. She was proud enough to state that Sourav has really worked hard and delivered what appeared to be a gigantic task but never ever he has failed in his effort. It would be very difficult for us to find someone who could step in his shoes.
Then finally our NSS Student Coordinator Mr. Sourav Chakraborty came to deliver his voice to his juniors. He mentioned why, when and for what reason NSS Student Chapter was formed. He focussed on the main objective of NSS- “Not me, but you”. He talked about all the events organized by NSS Student Chapter. He talked about the procedure to join NSS and about all future scopes of NSS possible. He concluded by thanking everyone who was there with him and helped him to form NSS Student Chapter, RCCIIT what it is.
The session was concluded by Dr. Deb, after formally acknowledging all the members present there. He also mentioned that one more such meeting will be organized before new faces are taken into the chapter.
