Objective of the Celebration:
World AIDS Day, observed on December 1st, was celebrated at our esteemed college on December 7th and 8th, 2023. The aim was to raise awareness, promote social responsibility, and unite in the fight against HIV. The celebration also sought to support those living with the virus and honour those who have been lost.

- Activities: Human chain, poster making, rally.
- Schedule:
- The event commenced at 1:30 p.m. with a welcome address by Dr. Tathagata Deb, Programming Officer, NSS, RCCIIT.
- Ms Naiwrita Dey hosted the event, with coordination by Dr Hiranmoy Roy, Ms Naiwrita Dey, and Mrs Sulagna Basak.
- Students showcased their creativity and advocacy skills through poster presentations on HIV/AIDS challenges.
- A human chain was formed by the students under the theme “Let Communities Lead.”
- The day concluded with a rally. The program ended at 2:30 p.m.

- Activities: Debate on AIDS.
- Schedule:
- The event started at 1:30 p.m. with a welcome address by Dr. Tathagata Deb.
- An expert talk was delivered by Dr. Gautam Paik, with the officiating Principal, Dr. Anirban Mukherjee, in attendance.
- Thirty-five students from various departments participated in the debate.
- At the end of the event, students received gifts as a token of encouragement and appreciation. The program concluded at 2:30 p.m.
Outcome of the Event:
The two-day celebration of World AIDS Day was successful in raising awareness among students and encouraging community involvement. The active participation of students, staff, and faculty members contributed to the event’s impact and success, fostering a greater connection to and support for the cause.
