Day 1


On April 6, 2023,NSS Unit of RCCIIT organized a Health Checkup
Camp in collaboration with Apollo Hospital, Kolkata, featuring blood
pressure, blood sugar, ECG, and eye check-ups. The event, led by NSS
Unit and faculty members Dr. Sangita Agarwal and Dr. Tathagata Deb,
attracted participation from all college faculty and students. Fifteen
student volunteers facilitated the seamless execution of the camp. The
medical team provided insights on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Tests were conducted in designated areas, such as Language Lab 2 for
eye check-ups and Vivekananda Hall for ECG tests. The camp aimed
to promote the World Health Day theme, “Health For All.” It received
widespread participation and contributed to fostering a culture of
wellness within the RCCIIT community

Day 2

On April 7, 2023, the NSS Unit of RCCIIT conducted an online event on Google
Meet from 12:30 to 3:30 PM to celebrate World Health Day. Attended by 45
students and faculty members, including Dr. Sangita Agarwal, Dr. Tathagata Deb,
and Dr. Tiya Dey Malakar, the event aimed to promote health awareness under the
theme “Health is Wealth.” Dr. Sangita Agarwal served as the speaker, while
Swaraj Singh acted as the anchor. The program began with a welcoming speech
by Swaraj Singh, followed by an insightful presentation by Dr. Sangita Agarwal,
who shared her views on health and Gen Z eating habits. Dr. Subhabrata
Roychaudhry, NSS advisory member, emphasized the importance of self-care,
addressing students’ doubts on physical and mental health. The event concluded
on a positive note, with a promise to reconvene the next day for the closing
ceremony of the 3-day event

Day-3

On April 8, 2023, the NSS Unit of RCCIIT concluded its three-day-long World Health Day celebration
with an online event on Google Meet from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Attended by 52 students and faculty
members, including Dr. Sangita Agarwal and Dr. Tathagata Deb, the program continued under the
theme “Health is Wealth.” Anchor Anamitra Sengupta initiated the day with a welcoming speech,
followed by Dr. Sinjita Dutta, a guest speaker from IPGEMR, Kolkata, who shared insights on the
significance of World Health Day. Students actively participated, presenting posters, short speeches,
and a presentation on health. The event ended on a positive note with a vote of thanks by Anamitra
Sengupta, marking the successful culmination of the three-day event promoting health awareness.
